Richie Cip, born Richard Cipriano, helped shape the sound of New York Hardcore as the bassist for Sick of It All during the band’s formative years. From the early demo and Revelation Records 7-inch to Blood, Sweat and No Tears, his playing is part of the music that introduced countless people to the scene. Richie went on to play in Reach, which signed to Atlantic Records, and continues to make music as the guitarist for New York Hardcore band War Orphan.
Richie has recently been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Now the community he helped build has a chance to stand with him.
Proceeds from this fundraising T-shirt will be donated to the Sweet Relief Fund to help support Richie.
Please share Richie’s story and, if you can, support him via direct donation or by purchasing a shirt.
